Overview

This course addresses the fact that change is one thing that an organization and leader can count on.  Leaders who wish to initiate change or respond to a need for change may have to go through a transformation themselves.  This transformation will allow them to become a true change agent by increasing their level of Emotional Intelligence and their Positive Intelligence Quotient (PQ).

Upon successful completion of this course students should be able to:

  • Understand the concept of Deep Change.
  • Identify strategies that improve a leaders Positive Intelligence Quotient.
  • Counteract saboteurs to Deep Change strategies.

Instructor: Russ Reithmeyer has served in military and law enforcement special operations units for over 26 years. He has advised, trained, and operated with multiple foreign military units and police departments. As a leader within a unique special operations police unit, he helped develop effective tools and tactics to counter terrorism and enhance security for the National Passenger Rail System. Throughout his career, Russ worked to advance C4ISR technologies in the military and with the Amtrak Police department. While in charge of the Force Modernization staff at the US Army Special Forces Command, he effectively translated operational needs to USASOC from deployed units which resulted in rapid fielding of cutting edge technology. He has extensive experience developing training courses and running exercises for response to security threats to detect, deter, and defend against terrorist acts and criminal incidents. He is an accomplished instructor and has taught at the JFK Special Warfare Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He has trained hundreds of SWAT team and police members at the local, regional, and federal level on active shooter and train tactics. He earned a BS Business degree from Excelsior College in 1999 and an MBA from Webster University in 2004. He has been trained in military and law enforcement schools and courses gaining considerable expertise in Transportation and Facility Security, Anti-Terrorism & Counter-Terrorism, WMD threats, Active Shooter, Suicide Bombing & IEDs, Operations & Intelligence, and C4ISR. Russ is a member of the California Tactical Officers Association and the National Technical Investigators Association.
